From Byzantine Greek ξελογιάζω (xelogiázō, “to make someone go out of their mind, to make lose their logic”), from ξε- (xe-, “un-, de-”) + λογιάζω (logiázo, “to behave logically, to think, to plan”), from λόγος (lógos, “reason, logic”).
