1. to drag, to pull, to haul

   те́гля каи́ша ― téglja kaíša ― to suffer (literally, “to pull the leash”)

2. to weigh (measure the weight of)
3. (colloquial) to suck, to inhale

   Тегля цигара.

   Teglja cigara.

   I smoke a cigarette.

4. to draw

   те́гля жре́бий ― téglja žrébij ― to draw lots

   те́гля куршу́ма ― téglja kuršúma ― to shoot (with a gun) (literally, “to draw the bullet”)

   те́гля но́жа ― téglja nóža ― to cut, to stab (literally, “to draw the knife”)

5. to withdraw (e.g. money from the bank)
