تَاهَ • (tāha) I (non-past يَتُوهُ (yatūhu), verbal noun تَوْه (tawh) or تَوَهَان (tawahān))

1. to lose one's way

5. to wander in mind, to be confused in mind, to be absent-minded

1. to lose one's way
   • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 5:26:

     قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ

     qāla fa-ʔinnahā muḥarramatun ʕalayhim ʔarbaʕīna sanatan yatīhūna fī l-ʔarḍi

     said "Then indeed, it is forbidden to them for forty years in which they will wander throughout the land.
