Unknown. Bray tentatively proposes a connection with Kannada ಕೇ (kē, “to lie down”), but for that cognate set Pfeiffer[1] reconstructs Proto-Dravidian *kī- which is phonologically difficult, and Burrow and Emeneau also do not list the Brahui term.[2]
