ܝܵܒ݂ܹܫ • (yāḇēš) (present participle ܝܒ݂ܵܫܵܐ (ḇāšā), past participle ܝܒ݂ܝܼܫܵܐ (ḇīšā))

1. (intransitive) to dry out, become dry

   ܢܲܗܪܵܐ ܒܸܬ ܝܵܒ݂ܹܫ ܐܸܕܩܲܝܛܵܐ. ― nahrā bit yāḇēš idqayṭā. ― The river will dry out this summer.

2. (intransitive) to wither, shrivel

   ܐܝܼܠܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܘܗܲܒܵܒ݂ܹ̈ܐ ܝܒ݂ܝܼܫ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܥܸܠܲܬ ܚܲܣܝܼܪܘܼܬܵܐ ܕܡܸܛܪܵܐ.
