Cognate with Hindustani کیکڑَا / केकड़ा (kekṛā), Punjabi ਕੇਕੜਾ (kekṛā) / کیکڑا (kekṛā), Bengali কাঁকড়া (kãkoṛa), Assamese কাঙ্কড়া (kaṅkora), Sinhalese කකුළුවා (kakuḷuwā).
