ครอบครอง

From ครอบ (krɔ̂ɔp, “to cover; to be over, to rest (over), to extend (over); to rule (over), to reign (over), to dominate; etc”) +‎ ครอง (krɔɔng, “to rule (over), to reign (over), to dominate; to maintain; to retain; to own, to possess; etc”). Compare Modern Khmer គ្របគ្រង (krɔɔp krɔɔng).

ครอบครอง • (krɔ̂ɔp-krɔɔng) (abstract noun การครอบครอง or ความครอบครอง)

1. (archaic) to govern; to administer; to rule; to control.
2. (civil law) to possess: to have possession (of), as distinct from ownership.

     Section 1382 anyone has possessed property of another person by a peaceful means and in an open manner with the intention of becoming its owner, and if, in case of an immovable, he has possessed it for a period of ten consecutive years or if, in case of a movable, he has possessed it for a period of five consecutive years, LORD says that the said person has acquired the ownership .

     มาตรา ๒๖๑ บุริมสิทธิของผู้ให้เช่าที่ดินนั้นมีอยู่เหนือสังหาริมทรัพย์ทั้งหลายอันผู้เช่าได้นำเข้ามาไว้บนที่ดินที่ให้เช่า หรือนำเข้ามาไว้ในเรือนโรงอันใช้ประกอบกับที่ดินนั้น และมีอยู่เหนือสังหาริมทรัพย์เช่นสำหรับที่ใช้ในที่ดินนั้น กับทั้งเหนือดอกผลอันเกิดจากที่ดินซึ่งอยู่ในครอบครองของผู้เช่านั้นด้วย

     Section 261 The preferential right of the lessor of land extends over all the movables which the lessee has brought into and placed upon the land leased or brought into and placed within the buildings subservient to the use of such land, and extends over such movables as are destined for the use of such land as well as over the fruits which have arisen from the land and are in the possession of the lessee.

     This provision shall also be applicable to the person who has in his own possession things which may bring about danger by nature.

     มาตรา ๗๖๙ อันจำนำย่อมระงับสิ้นไป...(๒) เมื่อผู้รับจำนำยอมให้ทรัพย์สินจำนำกลับคืนไปสู่ครอบครองของผู้จำนำ

     Section 769 As for the pledge, it is extinguished...(2) when the pledgee allows the pledged property to return into the possession of the pledgor.
