From อสังหาริม (“immovable”) +‎ ทรัพย์ (sáp, “thing; property”); calque of English immovable property.

Probably first used on 11 November 1923, when the first book of the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand was promulgated.

อสังหาริมทรัพย์ • (à-sǎng-hǎa-rí-má-sáp)

1. (law) immovable property.
   • 1992, พระราชบัญญัติให้ใช้บทบัญญัติบรรพ ๑ แห่งประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ที่ได้ตรวจชำระใหม่ พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๕:

     มาตรา ๑๓๙ อสังหาริมทรัพย์ หมายความว่า ที่ดิน และทรัพย์อันติดอยู่กับที่ดินมีลักษณะเป็นการถาวรหรือประกอบเป็นอันเดียวกับที่ดินนั้น และหมายความรวมถึง ทรัพยสิทธิอันเกี่ยวกับที่ดินหรือทรัพย์อันติดอยู่กับที่ดินหรือประกอบเป็นอันเดียวกับที่ดินนั้นด้วย

     Section 139 Immovable property denotes land and things fixed permanently thereto or forming a body therewith, and includes real rights connected with land or things fixed thereto or forming a body therewith also.
