რეზი • (rezi)

1. shroud, graveclothes; body bandage
   • 5th century and later, Bible, John 11.44, (Adysh Gospels):

     გამოვიდა მკუდარი იგი, კრული ფერჴით, ჴელით რეზითა

     gamovida mḳudari igi, ḳruli perqit, qelit rezita

     And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes

In the Bible passage, corresponds to Old Armenian երիզապինդ (erizapind).
