Originated in Hong Kong, where the controversy arose on who could sit on priority seats. Netizens compared harsh hostile reactions during struggle sessions in the Cultural Revolution.

     Yěyǒu bìngrén zuò guān'àizuò dōu shòushěn, jiéguǒ guān'àizuò bèi zhǐ yǐ biànzhì wèi “pīdòuzuò”.

     Even some patients who sit in priority seats can become targets of cyberbullying. In the end, some criticised that priority seats have become "struggle seats".

     Guān'àizuò biàn “pīdòuzuò” de qíngkuàng bìngfēi xiānggǎng dúyǒu. Nánhán céng chūxiàn chángzhě jiǎo tī guān'àizuò shàng niánqīng nánzǐ, 66 suì lǎorén gōngjī guān'àizuò shàng 25 suì nǚzǐ ér bèibǔ děng ànlì.

     Hong Kong is not the only place where priority seats have become "struggle seats". In South Korea, an elderly person kicked a man was sitting in a priority seat, and a 66-year-old was arrested for assaulting a 25-year-old woman who was sitting in a priority seat as well.

     The original intention of priority seats was to show love and care, but recently, quarrels and brawls have occurred. With priority seats becoming "struggle seats", some people suggest cancelling them, while others while others advocate for keeping them.
