Cognate with Tibetan ཁུང (khung, hole), Jingpho ladi hku (nostril), Chepang घाङ् (gʰaŋ, hole), Burmese ခေါင်း (hkaung:, cavity), Naxi ko³³ (cave; hole; pit) (STEDT).
