Inherited from Proto-Turkic *tür(ü)k + *-če. By surface analysis, 𐾀𐽳𐽶𐽾𐽷 (twyrk) +‎ -𐽽𐽰 (-čʾ), nominalized, equative form of 𐾀𐽳𐽶𐽾𐽷 (Türk) (as in, " like a Turk"). Cognate with Old Turkic 𐱅𐰇𐰼𐰜 (t²ür²k̥), Turkish Türkçe.

  By virtue of the merit had the printing block of the
  Indian scripture of the Sitātapatrā-Sūtra, of the "Prince of Incantations",

  printed in their entirety in ten thousand block-copies.

Used interchangably with 𐽳𐽶𐽲𐽳𐽾𐽽𐽰 (Uygurča) in reference to the written language, cf. 𐾀𐽳𐽶𐽾𐽷 𐽳𐽶𐽲𐽳𐽾 𐾀𐽶𐾁𐽶𐾁 (Türk Uygur tili, “lit. Turk-Uyghur language”). In other cases, 𐽳𐽶𐽲𐽳𐽾𐽽𐽰 (Uygurča) is used.
