The name Anafielas, re-interpreted in Lithuanian as "Anapilis", i.e. "ana pilis".[1] The name "Anafielas" was recorded or invented by Teodor Narbutt in 1835 in his Dzieje starożytne narodu litewskiego.[2] Considered pseudo-mythological.[3]
