Named after American golfer Arnold Palmer (1929–2016). According to urban legend he later claimed true, in circa early 1960s, he ordered a mix of half iced tea and lemonade from a waitress, which there became popular at the Cherry Hills Country Club, and Mr. Palmer later endorsed.
