Bruynzeelwoning f (plural Bruynzeelwoningen, diminutive Bruynzeelwoninkje n)

1. (Suriname) collective name for several models of prefabricated single-storey wooden houses, built on storey-high concrete stilts to protect against pests and to enable passive cooling, which were manufactured and popularised by the Bruynzeel timber company between 1950 and 1990

     Momenteel heeft men op de meeste projecten een woning van de Bruynzeel maatschappij, waarover wij reeds bij de aankondiging schreven. Dit elegante woninkje, met drie slaapkamers[,] maakt thans een grote opgang onder de naam van Bruynzeelwoning.

     Currently, most projects have a house from the Bruynzeel company, which we already wrote about when they were announced. This elegant little three-bedroom house is now making great headway under the name of Bruynzeel house.
