@माधवपंडित: Sorry for the late response. I don't think there's enough research done on Toda yet to classify it more accurately than "Tamil-Kannada". None of the literature says anything about descent from Halegannada. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 14:10, 27 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
