@Theknightwho any reason you changed the mapping of "webpage" to {{cite-web}}? In most cases the extension is used for adding quotes to entries (unlike Wikipedia), so it is a better default. It also broke citoid functionality because {{cite-web}} wasn't set up properly for it (I've just fixed it). Jberkel 11:46, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Right, but fixing it for IAB means breaking it here… Can this not be fixed on the bot? And anyway, why does the bot rely on configuration which is totally unrelated to it (the citoid extension)? Jberkel 12:05, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Jberkel I agree with you, but that was the best answer I got unfortunately. I would raise it on the IAB’s talkpage again, and am happy to add a supporting comment. I’m a bit caught up with other things, and I’m not sure I fully understand the problem as I haven’t looked into it properly, so don’t feel in a position to start the thread.
