Middle English pronunciation key

I don't know whether it would be better to ask here, at Module talk:IPA, at Template talk:IPA or at the Information Desk; but anyway, I've created Appendix:Middle English pronunciation, so I'm requesting that "enm" to be added under local langcodes. Thanks, Hazarasp (parlement · werkis) 05:20, 8 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

After the edit request section made, I request someone to add ISO 639 code for Chuvash, cv, because I've currently created the Appendix:Chuvash pronunciation page. Can someone add "cv" to the local langs_with_infopages? DanishtD (talk) 13:20, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Add Basque to langs_to_generate_syllable_count_categories

Basque has diphthongs, but module Module:eu-pron transcribes them with i̯/u̯ or with j/w (just as in Spanish), so it should be added to langs_to_generate_syllable_count_categories.--Santi2222 (talk) 13:26, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have created Appendix:Lushootseed pronunciation, so could someone please add "lut" to langs with infopages list? Thank you, AdJHu (talk) 23:12, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Tagalog syllabification

@TagaSanPedroAko I think the Tagalog syllabification count should follow the phonemic one, not the phonetic. This follows the dictionaries better with the diya, siya, or whatever changes that we did to the phonetic transcription. Example probinsiyano is considered to be broken up to be 5, but the system only detects this as 4. Ysrael214 (talk) 03:00, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

+1. Will fix that. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 03:04, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Maltese phonemes

Should /h/ and /ː/ be added to Maltese phonemes? They are used on , h, ħanut tax-xorb, ħwienet tax-xorb. 83.28.247.254 10:32, 27 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Dutch phonemes

It seems that | should be added as a Dutch phoneme (and all phoneme, actually), otherwise pages with commas like al draagt een aap een gouden ring, het is en blijft een lelijk ding will have an error.

Additionally, the breve should be added everywhere, otherwise u.i̯ will have an error because of the dot (cf. ui̯). 83.28.247.254 16:20, 29 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Dutch signaal is using ɲ, which is considered a marginal consonant, but may still be phonemic. 83.28.247.254 13:45, 1 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Dutch Gandhiïsme is using ʔ, which is considered a marginal consonant, but I'm not so sure if it's phonemic. 83.28.247.254 14:55, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
The Suriname pronunciations of chargen and tjanten have /c/ in them, which is not listed at all on Help:IPA/Dutch. Should we use square brackets in this case? 83.28.53.192 11:14, 10 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Esperanto phonemes

Esperanto j /i̯/, just like Esperanto ŭ /u̯/, is phonemic. Therefore, it should be added to the list, otherwise there'll still be 3k+ entries in Category:IPA pronunciations with invalid phonemes/eo. Sidenote: temporalo was also there due to (wrong) manual IPA.
