@DerekWinters, माधवपंडित If we filled this up with data, adding Sanskrit quotations from Monier would be a lot easier I think. So far, I've added the Rig-Veda and the Ramayana, so we can type eg. {{Q|sa||RV}} and get

Wow... this looks so beautiful & neat. Gotta love the IAST spelling! Thanks so much Aryaman. Edit: just one thing. This article and some others say that the Rigveda was "essentially complete" by 1200 BC. Perhaps it should then be 1700 BCE - 1200 BCE? - Madhav P. @Aryamanarora, traditionally we link to the wikisource in the original language, so s:sa:ऋग्वेदः. We'll need to create a few functions, but I think we should be going to the Sanskrit, not the translations. —JohnC5 17:56, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Aryamanarora, if it's not too much trouble, I was hoping we could follow some principles about adding new things from Appendix:Sanskrit abbreviations. If the abbreviation is a title of a work with an author, create the author section and then add an alias to the author list works that reroutes to the author and work. Does that make sense? @Bhagadatta This is a link to quotations in Parasharasmriti with translations. I was wondering whether we could use these quotes. Since Wikipedia has no specific article for this, we can link to ]. I've seen it spelt as Pārāśara-Smṛti ({{vrddhi|sa|parāśara}}) also but that's not as common as Parāśara Smṛti (which is even in MW). I'm unsure of the year(s) of its composition: some date it too early (around Rigveda) or too late (like 1800 or so) to be considered correct.
