Ancestor additions

The entry for Middle Persian (m) needs to have the following attribute added: ancestors = {"peo"},

The entry for Old Persian (m) needs to have the following attribute added: ancestors = {"iir-pro"},

Right now, the languages module claims Proto-Indo-European, Proto-Indo-Iranian, and Old Persian are not ancestors of Persian. Ithinkicahn (talk)

@-sche: Thanks! I think you missed psu though. —Aryamanarora (मुझसे बात करो) 22:48, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also do you know why 𑀢𑀡𑀽 (taṇū) is not using the Brahmi font but transliterating correctly? —Aryamanarora (मुझसे बात करो) 22:49, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hmm, I don't know; 𑀢𑀡𑀽 (taṇū) (with language code pmh) doesn't use the right font (for me) either. - -sche (discuss) 22:56, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Aryamanarora, -sche: What fonts are you looking for those words to be displayed in? Both of them are tagged with the class Brah, which has the fonts Segoe UI Historic, Noto Sans Brahmi applied to it in MediaWiki:Common.css. — Eru·tuon 23:05, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Erutuon: nvm, it appears to be working now. The font size was smaller and I assumed it was defaulting to the regular sans-serif font —Aryamanarora (मुझसे बात करो) 23:51, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Pmh error

@AryamanA There are module errors in Konkani and Marathi entries for terms inherited from PMh. Something seems to have been broken. -- माधवपंडित (talk) 16:17, 19 February 2018 (UTC) माधवपंडित (talk) 16:17, 19 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Pipil Diacritic removal

@Metaknowledge Can you please make it so ppl removes macrons and acutes? MiguelX413 (talk) 02:25, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Done Done. It already stripped macrons; I added acutes. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 02:28, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Phuan (phu)

Why shouldn't the Phuan language (phu) be as follows?

m = { "Phu Thai", 3626597, "tai-swe", }

m = { "Phuan", 3915665, "tai-swe", }

Thanks for reading. --Apisite (talk) 15:45, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Pangasinan

m = {
	"Pangasinan",
	33879,
	"phi",
	{"Latn", "Tglg"}
	entry_name = {
		from = {"", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "" ACUTE, GRAVE, CIRC, DIAER},
		to   = {"a"  , "e"    , "i"  , "o"  , "u"  , "A"  , "E"    , "I"  , "O"  , "U"   }},
}

Like with most Philippine languages, Pangasinan aren't normally written in diacritics except the tilde in N (usually in proper nouns), and should be stripped off when linking. Also allow creation of Baybayin forms like with its related language Ilocano. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 19:33, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Surjection Please add. Thanks! -TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 22:57, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Done Done Please make sure none of the existing entry titles contain those symbols. — SURJECTION / T / C / L / 05:54, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

There's just one of them: pontí. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 06:11, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Surjection: Looks like there is an issue with handling of the Ë with combining acute. Should change the code so to specially handle it.
m = {
	"Pangasinan",
	33879,
	"phi",
	{"Latn", "Tglg"}
	entry_name = {
		from = {"", ", ", "", "", "", "", "", "" , "", "", "" ACUTE, GRAVE, CIRC, DIAER},

Does it work now? — SURJECTION / T / C / L / 05:30, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Phalura to Palula

Palula is the actual spelling of the name. Phalura is an erroneous transcription by Morgenstierne. Most modern references point to Palula, so this must be reflected in Wiktionary. Kwékwlos (talk) 02:28, 13 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kapampangan

@Surjection @ Chuck Entz: Add this code for Kapampangan that will automatically strip of acutes, graves and circumflexes and also add sort key (same as with Tagalog, which will handle Ñ and NG as separate characters for sortation).

m = {
	"Kapampangan",
	36121,
	"phi",
	"Latn", --also Kulitan, which lacks a code
	entry_name = {Latn = {remove_diacritics = c.grave .. c.acute .. c.circ}},
	standardChars = {
		Latn = "AaBbCcDdEeFfGgHhIiLlMmNnOoPpQqRrSsTtUuWwYyZz",
		c.punc
	},
	sort_key = {
		Latn = "tl-sortkey"
	},
}

@TagaSanPedroAko Those pings won't work because you didn't sign your new comment, and I am going to start deleting these requests unless you put them in the right place. Theknightwho (talk) 21:53, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Theknightwho Please assume good faith (again). And the talk page is the right venue (unless this is also protected in the same level as the module itself). I'm editing from mobile and signatures are automatically added. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 21:59, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@TagaSanPedroAko I have repeatedly told you not to ping random admins. I have no obligation to assume good faith when you continue to ping random admins regardless, because it shows you're choosing to do the opposite of what I've said. Theknightwho (talk) 22:00, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Theknightwho I already recreated this edit request at the grease pit. And also sorry for what happened last Friday. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 00:43, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
