Somebody help me to understand the following errors. The differences I did on th-pron.lua file is only to comment the lines from 422 to 688 which I believe irrelevant to the main function "translit".
> tha = require ('translit/tha-pron')
> tha.translit('ข้าว','th', 'Thai', 'paiboon', 'translit-module')
kâao
> tha.translit('หมั่นโถว','th', 'Thai', 'paiboon', 'translit-module')
nil
> tha.translit('เปล','th', 'Thai', 'paiboon', 'translit-module')
bpeel
> tha.translit('ราชาทิราด','th', 'Thai', 'paiboon', 'translit-module')
nil
While running the module on the words 'หมั่นโถว' and 'ราชาทิราด', what I found out is that the syllable function was not called from outside. So I think the issues are with the full or partial patterns inside the code. I hope it helps to find the issues. Thanks. — This unsigned comment was added by K batsuren (talk • contribs).
{{th-pron}}
: ข้าว (kâao), หมั่นโถว (màn-tǒow), เปล (bplee), especially multisyllabic words. For example, หมั่นโถว (màn-tǒow) uses {{th-pron|หฺมั่น-โถว}}
where "หฺมั่น-โถว" is the phonetic respelling, which indicates the syllable boundaries and consonant clusters. There are also many irregularly pronounced words, which should be defined before the module should attempt to transliterate them.
