Proto-Celtic

Etymology

Matasović derives this from *klukā (stone) +‎ *-aros,[1] but this is phonetically impossible as we would expect Welsh **clygyr instead of clegyr (*klukar-yo- > *klokar-yo- does not work since there was no such thing as internal a-affection in Brittonic).

Noun

*klokeros m[2][3]

  1. pile of stones

Masculine o-stem
singular dual plural
nominative *klokeros *klokerou *klokeroi
