Etymology
The Proto-Tai form *krawꟲ was reconstructed by Pittayaporn (2009).
It considered that which Li (1977) had thought one single form - *kləuꟲ¹ (“head; knot of hair on the top of the head”) as two forms: *krawꟲ (“head”) and *klawꟲ (“hair knot”). But Pittayaporn (2009) seems to vacillate whether to distinguish between the two forms.
