Oh, and one other thing, if I may ask. It was quite hard for me to find the right translation for גוץ. In Modern Hebrew it is an adjective that describes either an chubby short-height person or, less frequently, a person of short height but massive built (not muscular, but definitely not slim). Since this is basically an English dictionary, I tried to find an English equivalent rather than explain the term in English, but I'm not completely sure of the result. Thanks. Hm, I suppose not. Our entry says (among other things) "compact", which implies short height relative to weight, though not necessarily short inherently. I don't know of a better word. Perhaps define it as "short and stocky" or something? Or maybe someone else can think of a single word (or even a better turn of phrase) for it: ] is a good place to ask. Ruakh is our major Hebrew editor (especially modern Hebrew; I do more Biblical Hebrew), and may be able to help you with this word. Sorry I couldn't help you with it more; if I do think of a word for it, I'll let you know. Feel free to ask me anything further here.—msh210℠15:29, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
