@Palaestrator verborum, can you expand the Arabic noun, please? --Vahag (talk) 12:33, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Vahagn Petrosyan Done, even twice as @Atitarev did it simultaneously 😑. Does anyone know why I cannot use the code cus for Cushitic in {{m}} or {{langname-mention}} that is used in Cat:Cushitic languages? Palaestrator verborum sis loquier 🗣 13:37, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Palaestrator verborum, thanks. You can't use language family codes with {{m}}. Use {{cog}} or {{noncog}} instead. --Vahag (talk) 15:18, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Vahagn Petrosyan, True, I did not think about it. Do you know what {{langname-mention}}’s purpose is? Because as it does not link terms I could imagine it also supporting family names. BTW you should protect {{mention}}, I see every IP can change it while {{l}} only admins and template editors. Palaestrator verborum sis loquier 🗣 15:27, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Palaestrator verborum, I don't know what {{langname-mention}} does, sorry. I protected {{mention}}. --Vahag (talk) 20:12, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Palaestrator verborum, Vahagn Petrosyan: Thanks and sorry if I caused an edit conflict. I made a wrong assumption in diff because I didn't bother checking any Arabic dictionary first. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 21:41, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Atitarev No need to be feel bad for the assumption, as even if you had looked into an Arabic dictionary you could not have swept away the suspicion of a borrowing because the verbs look denominal, and of course because we can still not consult an etymological dictionary of Arabic. I had to find a not-so-obvious strain of meaning development in Akkadian and Ugaritic too let it appear as a native formation – here we have the etymologies of the terms more explicit than anywhere else, I dare say we can boast about Wiktionary. For the double-edit, I saw it, incorporated it, and overwrote it, such needless writing is just a risk that is there. Palaestrator verborum sis loquier 🗣 22:00, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
