@AleksiB 1945, are you sure വഞ്ചിക്കുക (vañcikkuka) is a synonym? You've given the meaning of ചതി (cati) as cheating and of വഞ്ചിക്കുക (vañcikkuka) as a cheat, so their meanings do not match perfectly. -- Bhagadatta(talk) 02:03, 23 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
- @Bhagadatta: um i have a bit of a trouble in translating malayalam words to english, things get worse when you realise that im the only native malayali on wiktionary i guess the -kkuga ending changes it to something like a verb while vanjana (വഞ്ചന) would be the actual noun of fraud/cheat AleksiB 1945 (talk) 10:32, 23 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
- @Bhagadatta: and the word വഞ്ചിക്കുക doesnt directly mean the person who is cheating that would be something like (vanjagan) വഞ്ചകൻ or (vanjikkunna aal) വഞ്ചക്കുന്ന ആൾ AleksiB 1945 (talk) 10:36, 23 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
- @AleksiB 1945: Okay so വഞ്ചകന് (vañcakaṉ) refers to a person who cheats and വഞ്ചിക്കുക (vañcikkuka) is the verb and ചതി is the act of deceit. Very good. If you need help translating a Malayalam term to English, you can make use of this dictionary where you can search for words on their database - if you tick the little box there that says Search entry words only (not definitions), the exact dictionary entry of the Malayalam word you typed in the search bar will show up. -- Bhagadatta(talk) 14:57, 23 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
