- I lived in Ireland until recently and have never heard this term. The Irish tend either not to worry about the term British Isle, or use the term Britain and Ireland when talking about it.--Dmol 09:23, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

RFV failed, entry deleted: no citations given for some reason. The real reasons to delete this are that it's not an idiom and that it doesn't meet Wiktionary:Criteria for inclusion#Place names, but those are matters for RFD. It's unfortunate that this died here, given how easily it could have been cited if anyone had bothered. *shrug* —RuakhTALK 15:57, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
