I'm not sure about this. Perhaps "Nixie tube" should be one word, rather than considering "nixie" as an adjective of "tube"? Accepted usage is "Nixie tube", rather than "nixie tube", I believe. I need to double check to confirm. It doesn't really make sense though, to capitalize, unless there was a person, place or thing reference, e.g. Mr. Nixie.
