I find the usage notes to be questionable. One sentence says:
- "We speak of a thing as accurate with reference to the care bestowed upon its execution, and the increased correctness to be expected therefrom; as, an accurate statement, an accurate detail of particulars."
I don't believe the accuracy of a thing has any direct connection to the care taken. Someone indifferent with a carefree attitude can nonetheless provide accurate information. One of the sentences describes the word correct, which does not even appear in the definition. I believe they have been copied from elsewhere and integrated with links, etc. with little thought given to their relevance. CrisH7 (talk) 13:39, 26 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
- Those usage notes were copied from Webster's 1907 International Dictionary of the English Language, and have been present here since the page's creation in 2002. Vuccala (talk) 23:05, 8 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
