Thanks, I believe the spelling "catercorner," which is not anomalous but in fact fairly commonly encountered in print, more so than "cater-corner", should be added in an "alternative spellings" section in this entry (whether it merits its own Wiktionary entry or not), rather than having it mysteriously appear, confusingly and with no explanation, in bold type in two examples. 71.66.97.228 09:04, 3 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Google's Ngram viewer illustrates this a little better (and it is most likely pulling from the same data as 71.66.97.228's links). Are there any other sources that back up Google's data? If so (or if Google's data is enough to go by), I'd like to propose that "catercorner" be made the main form with "cater-corner" listed as a variant.
