In Spanish you can say "lo mal" for "the bad", "the bad ones", "the bad people". In this case "lo" is the neuter article because "mal" is not a noun but an adjective being used as a noun and hence has no gender.
Also in Spanish, "mal" is used attributively before male nouns (mal tiempo), "malo" is used predicatively with male subjects (el tiempo es malo), "mala" if used both ways with feminine nouns. Hippietrail 12:01, 16 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Hey so, there are a *lot* of antisemitic tropes going on in that picture. . . there are characterizations of villains that don't rely on that kind of bigotry, and one of those should probably be used instead.
