Aren't foul and vuil (the latter is Dutch for 'dirty', 'nasty' etc.) from the same origen? The same with the German 'faul'? Is there someone who can back this up (or blow it into infinity)? --82.217.114.140 21:03, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Came across the swedish band "Den Fule" on last fm, and it was said to mean "the ugly (one)". Seeing as I am a dane I cannot say its the same word as foul but it seems reasonable. What puzzles is I cant find a danish term...
