Now, I personally believe that there should be an entry for this! It could be marked as a slang term in my opinion. The book Frindle is a popular book, and, this term was coined from it. The entire point of the book was a kid making up a word so to speak, and making it popular among people as a fad, if I remember correctly. After that, it becomes real. this is a synonym
i can see the word "frindle" as a synonym for the word "pen" as in you could use the words "pen" and "frindle" interchangeably like how some people call a "bathroom" a "washroom".
