Hi. If "hadron physics" is "physics of hadrons" then it may not be a good candidate for a dictionary entry (in the same way "brown leaf" is "leaf that is brown") — even though it's a good topic for an encyclopaedia. Equinox◑13:41, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
(after edit conflicts caused by moving the topic- twice) It seems to be a compound only in the sense of one noun attributively modifying the other, like "geranium leaf" versus "philodendron leaf". There's really nothing in "hadron physics" that can't be explained by looking up hadron and physics- except for topics beyond the scope of a dictionary.
