Wikipedia doesn't think this is a citrus fruit. Kappa 02:41, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is correct that it isn't part of the genus called "Citrus", but it was considered a citrus plant until 1915. Perhaps the wording should be "citrus-like". — TheKMantalk 02:49, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Around about 2018, new phylogenetic research actually forced taxonomists to reincorporate the genus Fortunella (kumquats) back to Citrus. PametUGlavu (talk) 16:39, 21 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Cantonese pronunciation

From what my ears are telling me, the Cantonese pronounce it gamgat, not gamgwat. Where is this 'w' coming from? I can't link to a tutorial video on YouTube, but there's a video with the title "Learn Chinese. Fruits in Chinese. Fruits in Cantonese - 生果 - 粵語". PametUGlavu (talk) 16:54, 21 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
