"Coagulated sour milk"... does that mean "yoghurt"? In other words, are leban and laban synonymous alternative forms, or related words for different things? - -sche (discuss) 04:22, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
- I'm sure both leban and laban are derived from Arabic لبن (lában) /ˈlæbæn)/, which among other things, means "dairy product". The exact meaning, form and recipe depends on the region. The first definition says "diluted with water". I don't think it's correct but there may be some regional variety. I also think leban and laban should be made synonyms and if all definitions are correct, then they would apply to both terms. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 04:48, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
- Ok, I've edited laban accordingly. Any idea if the "fermented liquor made with coagulated sour milk" is the same drink as yaourt? - -sche (discuss) 05:14, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
- Not sure about that one. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 05:24, 8 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
