This entry was recently modified to 'alternate form of micaceous' - I'm reverting this change as I do not believe it to be correct (despite the striking similarities). Micaceous (mica-like) is derived from mica, a mineral and the Latin for powder. Mica is often crystalline, which I would assume is where the meaning 'sparkling' came from. Micacious on the other hand appears to be rooted in the Latin 'micare', meaning flash. Additionally, I can only find reference to micacious when the meaning is sparkling, none of the other meanings of micaceous.
