From what I've read both -our and -or were used in England before Webster but the OED made the decision one way and Webster, later, the other. I think we mislead our users if we imply that a spelling from another region is "correct" in all regions when it would be marked as a mis-spelling in school essays, and would not be accepted in spelling bees. Obsolete spellings can be so marked, of course. Dbfirs 19:30, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
