The IP who got reverted by SemperBlotto made some point. Sad that reverting occurred. A third country is one who is not party to a particular treaty; one of these treaties are “the Treaties” (should we create this term?), i.e. the European primary law. - Ah, I think you’re right. Back when I made the entry I’d never heard this term before I encountered it in some official EU document that listed it as one of many terms misused by/peculiar to EU publications (I think this may have been the document in question), but it’s definitely used with a much broader scope and should be fixed.
