"To apply values (axioms)" is not understandable... Some meanings are missing (for example "to show a sympathetic or tolerant attitude toward something"), but I think this jargon should be removed. 13 Mar 2004 Aulis Eskola
I think the definition, "To believe based on information," may have led to some confusion. For example the Japanese 信じる has been offered as a translation but I've never witnessed an overlap in the meanings of 信じる and 'understand.' 219.176.20.5 10:26, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
