The following is an excerpt from the 2007 article "Funny Bones", published by The Guardian, in which Philip Ardagh reviews the Skullduggery Pleasant series:
It's exciting, pacy, nicely handled and it's fun. There's nothing worthy about it, and it's all the better for that.
