This template may be used in "References" and "Further reading" sections, and on talk pages, for citing TheFreeDictionary.
The template takes the following parameters:

– the name of the entry on the TFD website. If this parameter is omitted, the name of the Wiktionary entry is used as a default.|2=

– the template can usually automatically create a link to the TFD website. However, if the link is incorrect, use this parameter to manually specify the URL of the TFD webpage.|lang=
– to link to the TFD website in a language other than English, use this parameter to indicate the language code between "https://" and ".thefreedictionary.com/..." in the URL. For example, to link to the French version of the TFD website, type |lang=fr
