This template may be used in "References" and "Further reading" sections, and on talk pages, to cite Carl Cappeller's A Sanskrit–English Dictionary: Based upon the St. Petersburg Lexicons (1891). It creates a link to an online version of the Dictionary at Cologne Digital Sanskrit Dictionaries, provided by the University of Cologne.
The template takes the following optional parameters:
|1=
or |entry=
– the entry in the work to be cited. If this parameter is omitted, the template uses the name of the Wiktionary entry.|2=
, |page=
or |pages=
– mandatory: the page number(s) of the work cited.
|2=
or |page=
to specify a single page number. The link to the online version of the Dictionary will not work if this is omitted.|pages=
to specify a range of pages, separating the first and last page numbers of the range with an en dash like this: |pages=110–111
. You must then also use |pageref=
to specify the page number to be linked to, usually the page on which the entry begins.|3=
, |column=
or |columns=
– the column number(s) of the work cited.|4=
or |passage=
– a passage quoted from the work.|nodot=
– by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1
or |nodot=yes
.{{R:Cappeller Sanskrit-English|column=1|page=571}}
