This template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from Edgar Rice Burroughs' work The Efficiency Expert (1st edition, 1921; and 1966 version). It can be used to create a link to online versions of the work at the Internet Archive:
The template takes the following parameters:
|part=
– mandatory: the part number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals, from |part=I
to |part=IV
.|1=
or |chapter=
, and |chaptername=
– use |1=
or |chapter=
to specify the chapter number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals, and |chaptername=
the name of the chapter.|column=
or |columns=
– the column number(s) quoted from, either |column=1
or |column=2
. If quoting from both columns, either omit this parameter or separate the column numbers with an en dash, like this: |columns=1–2
.|year=
– mandatory: if quoting from the 1966 version, specify |year=1966
. If this parameter is omitted, the template defaults to the 1st edition (1921).|1=
or |chapter=
– the name of the chapter quoted from.|2=
or |page=
, or |pages=
– mandatory in some cases: the page number(s) quoted from. If quoting a range of pages, note the following:
|pages=10–11
.|pageref=
to indicate the page to be linked to (usually the page on which the Wiktionary entry appears).|3=
, |text=
, or |passage=
– the passage to be quoted.|footer=
– a comment on the passage quoted.|brackets=
– use |brackets=on
to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.{{RQ:Burroughs Efficiency Expert|part=III|chapter=XV|chaptername=Little Eva|page=809|column=1|passage="'''For the love of Mike'''!" cried that young lady, "where have you been all this time, and what's happened to you?
