This template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from Francis Quarles' work A Feast for Wormes. Set Forth in a Poeme of the History of Ionah (1st edition, 1620). It can be used to create a link to an online version of the work at Google Books.
The template takes the following parameters:
|chapter=
– mandatory in some cases: if quoting from the parts of the work entitled "Eleuen Pious Meditations" and "Pentelogia: Or The Quintessence of Meditation", specify |chapter=Meditations
and |chapter=Pentelogia
respectively.|section=
– mandatory in some cases: if quoting from the main part of the work entitled "A Feast for Wormes", use this parameter to specify the section number quoted from, from |section=1
to |section=13
.|meditation=
– mandatory in some cases: if quoting from "Pentelogia", use this parameter to specify the meditation number quoted from. There are two sets of five meditations; for the first set specify |meditation=1A
to |meditation=5A
, and for the second set specify |meditation=1B
to |meditation=5B
.|1=
or |page=
– mandatory: as the work is unpaginated, use these parameters to specify the "page number" assigned by Google Books to the URL of the webpage to be linked to. For example, if the URL is https://books.google.com/books?id=1nkEQ7pMtyEC&pg=PP7
, specify |page=7
. Except when quoting from "Pentelogia" where specifying the meditation number is sufficient, this information must be specified to have the template determine the part of the work quoted from and to link to the online version of the work.|sig=
or |signature=
, and |verso=
– as the work is unpaginated, |sig=
or |signature=
can be used to specify the signature number quoted from, which is indicated at the bottom centre of some pages. If quoting from a verso (left-hand) page specify |verso=1
or |verso=yes
; if |verso=
is omitted, the template indicates that a recto (right-hand) page is quoted.
|sig=
or |signature=
, and |verso=
, to specify the signature at the start of the range, and |sigend=
or |signatureend=
, and |versoend=
, (if required) to specify the signature at the end of the range.|2=
, |text=
, or |passage=
– the passage to be quoted.|footer=
– a comment on the passage quoted.|brackets=
– use |brackets=on
to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.{{RQ:Quarles Feast for Wormes|section=2|sig=D2|page=29|passage=Good God! hovv poore a thing is vvretched man? / So fraile, that let him ſtriue the beſt he can, / VVith euery little blaſt hee’s '''ouerdon'''.}}
