This template creates a reference to the Middle Irish story The Tale of Mac Da Thó's Pig as edited by Ernst Windisch in his Irische Texte and a link to the relevant part text on Wikisource.

It takes two positional parameters: the first is obligatory and is the section number where the quote comes from:

* {{RQ:mga:SMMD|3}}

renders as:

• c. 1000, “The Tale of Mac Da Thó's Pig”, in Ernst Windisch, editor, Irische Texte, volume 1, published 1800, section 3:

The second positional parameter is optional; it can be used to show the last section of a range:

* {{RQ:mga:SMMD|5|6}}

renders as:

• c. 1000, “The Tale of Mac Da Thó's Pig”, in Ernst Windisch, editor, Irische Texte, volume 1, published 1800, sections 5–6:
