Usage
This template is a headword-line template for Welsh verbs. The first positional parameter is the verb stem (the literary first-person singular present form minus the ending -af). It may be omitted if it is identical to the verbal noun (which is the page name). If the literary first-person singular present form is not formed by adding -af to the verb stem (as with many irregular verbs), it can be explicitly specified using 1s=
. An alternative first-person singular present form can be specified with alt1s=
; this should list the entire form, not just the stem. Irregular verbs should be specified with irr=1
.
Examples:
- When the verb stem is identical to the verbal noun:
{{cy-verb}}
- When the verb stem is different from the verbal noun:
{{cy-verb|mwydr}}
- When the first-person singular is different from the verb stem plus -af (also an irregular verb):
{{cy-verb|1s=caf|irr=1}}
- When there is an alternative first-person singular:
{{cy-verb|cynigi|alt1s=cynigaf}}
