Usage

This template creates a declension table for Lower Sorbian feminine nouns belonging to classes 1, 1a, and 2 according to both Jannasch's Deutsch-niedersorbisches Wörterbuch/Słownik němsko-delnjoserbski and Starosta's Dolnoserbsko-nimski słownik/Niedersorbisch-deutsches Wörterbuch, hence the name.

Class 1 includes those feminine nouns ending in:

  • -ba
  • -fa
  • -ma
  • -na
  • -pa
  • -ra
  • -wa.

Class 1a includes those feminine nouns ending in

  • -tša
  • -dza.

Class 2 includes those feminine nouns ending in

  • -da
  • -zda
  • -cha
  • -ła
  • -ta
  • -sta.

The template takes two obligatory parameters:

  • the first part of the noun stem (i.e. all except the final stem consonant(s) and the -a)
  • the final consonant(s) before the -a (one of b, d, zd, f, ch, ł, m, n, p, r, , t, st, w, or dz). The second parameter is optional for class 1 nouns, but must be included for classes 1a and 2.

Thus, for a class 1 noun like lipa, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-1|lip}}

or

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-1|li|p}}

For a class 1a noun like sotša, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-1|so|tš}}

For a class 2 noun like sada, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-1|sa|d}}
