Usage

This template creates a declension table for Lower Sorbian neuter nouns belonging to classes 27, 28, 29, and 30 in both Jannasch's Deutsch-niedersorbisches Wörterbuch/Słownik němsko-delnjoserbski and Starosta's Dolnoserbsko-nimski słownik/Niedersorbisch-deutsches Wörterbuch, hence the name.

Class 27 includes those neuter nouns ending in:

  • -co
  • -so
  • -šo
  • -zo
  • -žo.

Class 28 includes those neuter nouns ending in:

  • -bjo
  • -njo
  • -rjo
  • -wjo.

Class 29 includes those neuter nouns ending in

  • -jo
  • -ćo
  • -šćo
  • -lo.

Class 30 includes those neuter nouns ending in

  • -ko
  • -cho

(except for wucho and woko, which are irregular).

It takes one or two obligatory parameters, depending on the class. For class 29 nouns, just list the stem (i.e. the nominative singular minus the final -o) as the only parameter. For class 27, 28 and 30 nouns, the first parameter is the first part of the noun before the final two consonants, and the second parameter is the two stem-final consonants (one of c, s, š, zo, ž, bj, nj, rj, wj, k, or ch), again excluding the ending -o. Adding the stem-final consonant as a second parameter works for the class 29 nouns as well, but it is not necessary for them.

For example, for the class 27 word kólaso, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-28|kóla|s}}

For the class 28 word mórjo, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-28|mó|rj}}

For the class 29 word jajo, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-28|jaj}}

For the class 30 word blidko, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-28|blid|k}}
