This template generates a declension-table template for Gothic a/Ε-stem adjectives. It takes one obligatory positional parameter and one optional one. The first parameter is the stem of the adjective as it appears before vowels, for example by removing the -π°/-a from the nominative singular feminine. The second parameter is the stem of the adjective as it appears before π/s or word-finally, for example the form of the nominative/accusative singular neuter. The second parameter needs to be added only if it is distinct from the first. The first and second parameters may be added in either Gothic or Latin script. For example, at π±π»πΉπ½π³π (blinds), add:
{{got-decl-adj-a|π±π»πΉπ½π³}}
or
{{got-decl-adj-a|blind}}
They both render as:
At π²ππΈπ (gΕΓΎs), where the form of the stem changes, add:
{{got-decl-adj-a|π²ππ³|π²ππΈ}}
or
{{got-decl-adj-a|god|goΓΎ}}
They both render as:
For ja/jΕ stems, the parameter |j=
must be set to either ji
(following a light syllable) or ei
(following a heavy syllable). For example, at π
πΉπ»πΈπ΄πΉπ (wilΓΎeis), which has a heavy syllable, write:
{{got-decl-adj-a|π πΉπ»πΈ|j=ei}}
which renders as:
If the adjective does not have weak forms, set |noweak=1
, for example at π°π»πΎπΉπ (aljis), write:
{{got-decl-adj-a|noweak=1|π°π»|j=ji}}
which renders as:
